90, 60, and 30 days ago: A [not so] short poem on how I found the one

Walked up to me in black boots and long braids
Can I have your signature here? —  she said
Not as an autograph but for a petition she added
Her smile. How could I deny myself seeing it again?

Almost like clockwork, I wanted to impress her
Got my colleagues to help her increasing list
But wait, this was not going to last as planned
Yet I loved to help this little lady from the other side of town.

Imagine my surprise when she reached out me days after
Now that I think of it, she found me and not I her
We quickly became friends with crossing paths not far
Perhaps too easy to find the one I was looking for.

[skips uncensored verses]

90 days ago I laid my eyes on this beautiful creature
60 days ago I gave in to the attraction that existed between us
30 days ago I made a move. I’m going all in — I said.
Thankful for the day I met you in black boots and long braids.
