Girl in a Twilight

Twilight Girl at Sea

Streams of water flow from beneath her feet
Not to fill the cold on which she gently sleeps
Her hair falls uneven on both side of her ears
Responding to the stir the boat made at pier

Whether she hears the creeks from old wood
Or the splashes of water against stone crude
Awaken to grasp the sea breeze with nose tip
And then to feel the rays of the light on her skin

Breeze, Sea, Hair, Ear, Wood, Crude, Stone, Nose
All infinitesimal to the moment the skin breaks
Thorns thick, white waters deep – bleeding rose
All for none, but for the Twilight Girl it takes

Flightless Bird – American Mouth
